Frankenstein by Mary Shelley had one of the biggest hits in history and up to present day schools around the world are still reading this book. The book, on its own has a mysterious and dark feel to it but is also very intriguing and includes many different characters which are also incorporated into the movie except a few. The movie includes the main characters Victor Frankenstein, Frankenstein and Elizabeth. Victor Frankenstein played by Kenneth Branagh who is also the director of the movie, Frankenstein by Robert De Niro, and Elizabeth Lavenza by Helena Bonham Carter.

The movie, compared to the book, contains many differences. In the book we’re told that Victors mother died when she went into the room in which Victors adopted sister Elizabeth laid near death from scarlet fever and healed her, in which she then got the sickness and became weak and died. In the movie we’re told that she died giving childbirth. In the book it said that Elizabeth died from the monster strangling her on her wedding night while Victor was away making sure the monster was no where near their room. In the movie it showed that Elizabeth died because the monster snuck into their room and when he heard Victor coming back, he ripped her heart out. Another big change in the film and novel was the whole trial with Justine and the murder of William. In the novel were told that Justine was found in a barn sleeping with the necklace found in her pocket. She was then given a trial in which she was found guilty for killing William and was executed. In the film once they found the necklace William immediately the townspeople took her and hung her in front of the whole town.

In conclusion, I prefer the movie to go right along with the book because it would have been better how it says in the book then depicts it in the movie. The cuts or changes that they made because of budget problems but a lot more effort should have been put into making this movie better. In my opinion, this is how I feel about the movie compared to the book. The little details shown in the film and the novel are very different from each other. Although they have the same plot and meaning as each other, the movie misses out on details included in the book such as the strong connection between Victor and his mother, Henry’s death and Victor being accused of his death as well as Victor creating the monster a companion and the anger the monster had towards him. Another big part I feel they missed was the monster confession to Victor how alone he felt and how hated he was just because he didn’t look a certain way. Overall I feel the little details they didn’t include or changed some of the scenarios was disappointing to me and from what i expected. 

Valentines day, a day to show gratitude towards a special person, a friend, or mom all around the world. Where did valentines really originate from? It goes back to ancient Roman where the traditions, ceremonies, customs came from. Till this day we that it has traditions from both Christianity and Ancient Rome. They named after St. Valentine where there were several people with this name and couldn’t really pin pint which one is the true St. Valentine. In a article “History of Valentine’s Day” by NewselaStaff said that the Catholic Church knew at least three different saints. Cognated to the same source other believed that Valentines day was celebrated in the middle of February to mark the anniversary of Valentine death or burial. Meanwhile on Valentines day on average 14 billion dollars are spent on this day other then Christmas. 

It’s crazy to think that this is a very diabolical issue that is debated on even if it should be celebrated at all or if it should be kept as a holiday. It does not seem that one day makes us happy then all the other days of the year we are the same old grumpy people. This whole issue is becoming a cogent argument that has had our heads spinning since it was invented back many centuries ago over in England for a king. The two debatable topics are “Should it be celebrated” or “Should it not be celebrated” that is two cogent arguments that persuade one side and the other for a very argumentative but confusing issue. According to a study done on debate.org over this topic it is said that 47% percent say yes and 53% percent say no it should not be a holiday. It’s a topic that is needed to be debated for a while and here are the 2 sides presented for you.

Another reason is that that it helps us remind remind each other just how much we love them a little bit more than we already do. It is said that is the most expensive holiday besides Christmas since we send cards and chocolate and gifts. It is also has been a tradition for years in america for us to come together and love each other. Personally it makes me feel very happy on that day to receive cards plus gifts it is one of my favorite holidays to celebrate besides thanksgiving and Christmas. Imagine if it was used everyday how much more love would be poured into the world that is not already there. Some say we should keep it but it is not the greatest holiday invented because we should not just have one day to love each other take each day to love each other. That is the argument on why it should be kept as a holiday in the United States plus in the world without that one day we might not be able to express our love in one day.

How can we be for certain that it’s a real holiday if we don’t even agree on why it should or should not be celebrated. A lot of people have said that it should be eliminated from our calendars because it is one whole devoted to a pointless topic of love and roses and chocolate. In my opinion I think there should not be a holiday at all we should be able to give the one’s we love a rose or chocolates or cards every day of the year not just some boring day on the calendar. It says in the article “History of Valentines day” that they used animals to slaughter to prove they love one another or used other means to prove a point. It’s mind blowing that we have to use stuffed animals, jewelry or love symbols to show or prove love.

What was it like growing up as a teenager? Compared to today it might be a little different with most teenagers having more things to keep them occupied nowadays smartphones, tablets, video games, etc. But what really impacts a teenagers sleep schedule, many factors apply to this homework, sports, after school activities, hanging out with friends. According to a article ” It’s back to class, and less sleep, for many high schoolers” by Chicago Tribune it says many teenagers aren’t getting the sleep that they are supposed to be getting every-night instead they are getting as much as seven and a half hours asleep others who just lay awake contemplating about life maybe get less or no sleep at all.  The human body needs at least eight to nine hours of sleep, but instead its less for teenagers. Teenagers engender their sleeping habits by doing things that aren’t necessary, example stressing themselves with unnecessary things, but some things aren’t always inevitable such as homework. Meanwhile school hours aren’t the best either because some schools start early as seven o’clock and according to scientist school should start later on in the day. Who are the degenerated students, schools, school council?  Also cognate to this in a article “Sleep in Adolescents” it says that schools start early and students typically wake up two hours just get ready and get to school on time. Teenagers also experience a change in moods, behavior, academic performance etc. They parturient and it begins to become a everyday habit for them, it keeps them form focusing on their main objective.

Researchers give their input about what teens go through and according to this quote “According to researchers, students don’t only lose sleep because they’re too busy. It’s also because of changes in young peoples’ bodies” while this may be in fact be true. Teenagers cant feign this problem its a phase that every person went through. Schools are trying to help but their are a lot of things that affect this change like bus schedules and also after school activities that are vital for a students success. While maybe later in the future it can be transfigured into a better and more effective time for teenagers so it can help them in the long run. Meanwhile for now all they can do is just go through it and hope for a change soon.

When you wake in the morning the first thing most people do is get on their phone for recent news stories or just casually scrolling through their news-feed, once into it some people share a news story and what it may actually be is fake news article/story line with a bit of truth behind it but the minimum to the actual truth. Fake news over-exaggerates but also comes with a twist it includes some of the truth from recent new stories that have been surfacing. In a article “Fake news author is fired; apologizes to those ‘disappointed’ by his actions” by Joe Marusak it said the following “With Donald Trump behind in the polls in early fall, Harris sat down at the kitchen table in his apartment and created a fake story that was eventually shared with 6 million people”. People will create a story about anything or have a click and bait technique that attracts hundreds of thousands of  viewers.

Before even Donald Trump was elected as President, there was fake news already floating around. The Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg was trying to improve its Facebook app and website so it could limit the amount of fake news that appears on peoples news feed. Coming from another source it states “Every day, politicians overstate some statistic, distort their opponents’ positions, or simply tell out-and-out whoppers” by Angie Drobnic  it clearly says that even some of the information is misleading and while the presidential election was going on, it incited things by them using news they saw on the “internet”  and using it against the person who were running against each other. Now the President of the United States who is now turbulent about what people are saying that Russia had something to do with the election. There is so many misleading information coming from the higher power in the government, while the President and its administration can’t clarify questions and being intransigent with the public always evading what the public has to hear.

The public being solicitous about what the President is going to say next, also what he’s doing to “improve” America again. Most being perturbed by the situation and actions by the President, media outlets such ass CNN, NYtimes, Washingtonpost, MSN are being called fake media outlets by the President meanwhile Foxnews is so called a good news source. Furthermore fake news is just another phony information who are being published by people like you and making revenue by the article being shared and also ad revenue. Fake news rose with celerity over time and of course being the media things always get shared just because it opposes someone and have hatred towards another individual. At the end of the day we can one do to avoid this people are always victims to something and its simply wrong timing but things are always cogent because are people are always quick to judge on a situation such as “fake news”.
